FreePrints is the PlanetArt app that made “free prints” a UK search. You pay postage, not a price per 6x4, for up to 45 prints a month.

- The prints are free. Postage is not. Unused monthly prints do not all roll over as a giant bank.

If someone in the UK says they get free prints from their phone, they usually mean this app. FreePrints prints on glossy or matt photo paper and posts the packet, or lets you collect from a short list of towns so you skip the delivery fee.
The standing offer is up to 45 free 6x4 (15x10cm) prints each month, capped at 500 free prints a year, with a limit of one free print per photo. Extra copies of the same shot, and every size that is not 6x4, are charged.
Delivery is the part people forget to budget. FreePrints says standard delivery starts at £1.49 and never goes above £3.99, however many prints you add. That is still a free printing deal. It is not a free parcel.
Order in the iOS or Android app. There is no useful desktop checkout for the free allowance. Photos can come from the camera roll, Google Photos, Facebook, Dropbox or OneDrive. Crop before you pay postage.
