Tesco Photo: prints from 9p, free collect, no free prints.

Paid / collect Last checked 23 September 2026.

Tesco Photo, run with Max Spielmann, is the supermarket answer to free printing: the collect step is free, the print is cheap, and it is not a monthly credit.

Allowance
No monthly free prints. Bulk pricing on 5-day orders.
You pay
65p a 6x4 for a handful, down to 9p at 500+. 20-minute collect is 60p–75p. Collect itself is free.
How to order
Order at maxphoto.co.uk (tescophoto.com currently redirects there) and collect in Tesco, or use the in-store iSnaps kiosks.
Best for
Large batches you can collect while you shop, without an app credit clock.
Watch out
Free click and collect is not the same as free prints. The paper still has a unit price.
Sizes
Standard photo sizes including 6x4, with larger prints taking longer in store.
Finish
Max Spielmann / Tesco photo-centre paper.
Delivery or collect
Free click and collect in about 20 minutes, 5-day collect, or 1–2 day home delivery on weekday cut-offs.

Tesco photo centres and Max Spielmann counters sit inside a large number of UK stores, with kiosks and booths on top. The website has also lived at maxphoto.co.uk. The offer to understand is speed versus price, not free prints.

20-minute click and collect is the hook. Prints are ready in about 20 minutes in opening hours, longer for big orders or sizes over 10x8. Collect is free. The per-print price on that fast lane is higher than the slow lane.

Home delivery or a 5-day collect is where Tesco quotes prints from 9p. That is the number to compare with FreePrints postage. If you want 200 holiday pictures and you will be in Tesco anyway, the 9p route can beat an app that is “free” plus £1.49–£3.99 postage.

It is the wrong service if you specifically want free prints UK with a zero unit price. It is the right service if you want cheap paper today without installing another photo app.
