New: compare UK photo print prices by size and quantity
Published .
Free prints only cover 6x4s, and only 45 or 50 of them. The moment you want 7x5s, an A4, or 200 prints for a party, the question turns into “who is cheapest” — so we built a tool for it.
The compare tool at /compare-photo-print-prices takes a size, a quantity and post-or-collect, then lines up seven UK labs with the per-print rate, the postage and the total. Every figure is copied from the brand’s public UK price page on the date shown, and we mark each lab as published, starting price, or priced in app so you know how firm the number is.
What it shows straight away: at 50 6x4s the free apps win outright. At 200 or more, Tesco and ASDA (both Max Spielmann) fall to 15p then 9p a print with free Click & Collect and nothing else is close. For A4, only the supermarkets sell true A4; Snapfish and Boots sell 12x8 as the nearest. Photobox and Bonusprint stop at 8x6.
FreePrints is the odd one out. It publishes the 45 free 6x4s and the £1.49–£3.99 delivery band but no price for any paid size, so we say “in app” rather than invent a number.
